amazingkevin Posted October 24, 2010 Report Posted October 24, 2010 Here's a juke box 6' tall by about 4'wide i did back in 1992.I think i remember doing it on plywood and it took 7.5 hours to do.The photo was about 10" from the camera just now so it's not to clear . Just a little something to change from scrolling pictures. All airbrushed with an iwata H-PC and DECA paints. all free hand no stencils Quote
Travis Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 That turned out great! I use to airbrush a lot when I was in high school. It s a lot of fun. I used the Paache AB double action airbrush. I use to mix my own paints and also used Createx a fair amount. I worked both with stencils and freehand. Lots of t-shirts painted and a few illustrations. I'd love to get another one for woodcrafting. Quote
Clayton717 Posted October 25, 2010 Report Posted October 25, 2010 looks great Kevin. I have an airbrush but don't use it much. nedd to get it out and improve my skills. Quote
amazingkevin Posted October 25, 2010 Author Report Posted October 25, 2010 Thanks Travis and Clayton .Wow that ab paschae is the turbine model if i remember that one could lay down a line half the thickness of a hair .It was the best airbrush in the business then and probably still is.It could do the most miniscule detail work you could want to do .I'm gritting my teeth to see one ,they were hot for an airbrush.Mr. clayton the airbrush was the best for shadeing and that's what i do the worst. One night another guy and me were employed to work at a barmitsva to paint kids names on extra large tee shirts. We both did ,that night 200 tee shirts split, that's more than either one of us did in our life and all for $50.00 a piece.About 15 years ago.The airbrush that interested me most was the raven which could change colors in a second up to 6 colors, with out cleaning the airbrush.Practice Practice!I have an album full of airbrushed goodies since 1991.Thanks guys i needed thoughs compliments they were more than welcomed! amazingkevin Posted October 27, 2010 Author Report Posted October 27, 2010 Art, you should see some of the stuff that people do with an air brush, remember the alberto "vargus" girls in playboy . He's the one that sparked my interest in airbrush. This juke box was one of my better shaded projects i did.I use two hands to hold the airbrush which is the size of a fountain pen. Thanks steven ,i'll bet you airbrush scenery on the train layouts you do. Oges Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 ..remember the alberto "vargus" girls in playboy.. You just read it for the art right? Quote
amazingkevin Posted October 28, 2010 Author Report Posted October 28, 2010 Funny you should ask Brett, The mens educational magazines and my airbrush magazines i barely read anything from them .A picture tells all for me. Quote
