I have a jpg of a scene and would like to see the lines in red to make it easier to cut. Can I change the colour using Inkscape ??Do I need to use a different format eg png or bmp ??

Any help appreciated to get me looking in the right direction

It may be explained in the lessons in the resource section.  Had to be easy because I could do it.  I like red lines and instead of black for the cutout area I filled it with gray.  Saved black ink and made the red show up more.. Maybe @Travis could easily explain it or point to the lesson that contains the info,,, or say I am all wet and it can't be done.....🙄

Seems like I did it with something at the bottom of the screen.  I don't even see any options at the bottom of the screen now when I open it.  But when I did it I had Windows version, now I am on a Mac... maybe that is different  or an newer version... or,,,, I'm really all wet!!
