I chose propane to keep temps more steady.....kinda set it & forget it.....this smoker has a thermocouple to turn on/off when needed......handy when you have a cool morning when you start & it warms up 20°, this smoker doesn't care......

But smoked chicken and ribs taste a whole lot better than cigarettes. Lol
