Iguanadon Posted September 10, 2018 Report Posted September 10, 2018 A big thanks to the National Hurricane Center for showing exactly where I live. If the track doesn't shift to the north soon, we'll be evacuating Wednesday morning... Category 4 storm with 140mph winds is on the way... Phantom Scroller and RabidAlien 2 Quote
meflick Posted September 10, 2018 Report Posted September 10, 2018 Good to see where you live Iggy. Sorry it’s under these conditions. Hope you are able to batten down the hatches and stay safe. If you evacuate, will you be taking your saw and all those puzzles with you? prayers said that the storm downgraded and moves away from our coast and dies down at sea. Keep us updated. Quote
bandaideman Posted September 10, 2018 Report Posted September 10, 2018 I have been watching this closely at home in Winston Salem. Praying for north movement and back to the ocean until it runs out of breath. Quote
Roberta Moreton Posted September 10, 2018 Report Posted September 10, 2018 I am also in North Carolina, near Southern Pines. It is going to be wet! We have a Fulton if you need it! Quote

Our son lives in WS but based on the possible path of the storm we didn't want to end up in a flooding area unable to get back to our own flooding area. LOL So we're heading down into South Carolina and hope to watch it just swing by. Quote
orangeman Posted September 11, 2018 Report Posted September 11, 2018 Scott/Iggy: come see us in North GA. We'll make some sawdust! Seriously! We have plenty of room. bb wombatie 1 Quote
rjweb Posted September 11, 2018 Report Posted September 11, 2018 I was wondering where you lived in comparison to the storm path, well stay safe is the main thing, keep us posted, RJ Quote
WayneMahler Posted September 11, 2018 Report Posted September 11, 2018 Prayers for all in the path of the storm. Hoping it turns north and misses the coast. Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted September 11, 2018 Report Posted September 11, 2018 Stay safe Iggy no storm chasing with them puzzles. Roly Quote

We have some very dear friends joining us as well and the Air BnB house we found will house all humans and animals adequately for what we hope is only about 4 days before we can come back "home". I put it in quotes cuz I seriously wonder what we will come back to. This storm is still a mystery as to where it will hit, if it'll stall out just off shore or once it makes landfall. Waiting for the cliffhanger episode to air. LOL Roberta Moreton 1 Quote
kmmcrafts Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 Wow! That looks to be headed right for you.. I hope you all stay safe and have minimal damage to your home and belongings.. From what I've heard on the radio this morning was it might stall out once it hits land... and dump 20-30 inch of rain.. Quote
jollyred Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 Good luck with getting out of there, Iggy. My son had planned to head out there Sunday, which would put him right smack in the middle of that. I'm hoping he puts his trip off till the area has a chance to return to normal. Quote
DWSUDEKUM Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 You have your surfboard all ready right?? Now might be a good time to visit Relatives in the heartland. Stay safe and keep us updated my friend. Praying that the storm damages will not be too bad. DW Quote

It is LITERALLY going to go right over my house, this is a zoomed in version of the track. Mind boggling. Good news is the 11pm that was just released has it weakening just a tad. Every little bit helps, but yes, because of how slow it's moving, 20, 30 or even 40 inches of rain are possible. She's still tracking to come hit us here in SC where we evacuated to but much weaker. Just hoping we don't lose power, that's what really sucks. Quote
meflick Posted September 13, 2018 Report Posted September 13, 2018 Still praying - glad to see her downgraded, praying for more downgrading and that wherever she comes in at, that she moves faster then they think and less rain then the fear. Quote
joleet Posted September 14, 2018 Report Posted September 14, 2018 Prayers are on the way, stay safe....Ron Quote
