Clayton717 Posted October 15, 2018 Report Posted October 15, 2018 I was just down to Judy Gale Roberts studio Wed the 10th. I picked up a half dozen more patterns. There was a class going on so didn't get to talk to Judy much but did talk to Stephen (I believe that was his name) for a bit. He took us(friends from TN and wife) into the classroom and showed us the project the class was working on. It was the new Willie Nelson. A very nice group of people if you are ever in that part of Tennessee stop in. amazingkevin, wombatie, GrampaJim and 2 others 4 1 Quote
meflick Posted October 16, 2018 Report Posted October 16, 2018 Hey Clayton, wish I had known that was you visiting. I was in that class last week! Would have enjoyed saying hello, Steve - Stephen is Judy’s Husband.. I agree with you, Judy and her staff are a great group, just like most of us folks here in TN. we were just getting started on Willis on Wed. when you guys were there. After 3 days in class sanding and shaping, we were still not done with Willie. I will share when I get done. I am out of the shop this week though so it will be a bit yet. Clayton717 1 Quote
spirithorse Posted October 16, 2018 Report Posted October 16, 2018 Hi, Clayton, Nice to hear you had another enjoyable trip to Seveirville, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge. I really love that area of the country! You are correct that everyone there really do seem to be a great group of people. I did not even realize that Jerry Booher had passed away! Now, it appears, Judy Gale is married again. I have a photo collage that my daughter made for me in which I got photos with Jerry and Judy Gale while they were married and I visited them at their studio in 2004. We were all smiles and my daughter surround that photo with photos of a few of my intarsia projects. My daughter just realized that I was on top of the world when Judy and Jerry were looking at my photo album of intarsia, escorting me around their shop, and just talking as if we had been life-long friends. Anyway, sorry I got side-tracked with memory lane and I'm glad you had another wonderful visit. God Bless! Spirithorse meflick, Clayton717 and GrampaJim 3 Quote

Steve Curtis Posted December 8, 2018 Report Posted December 8, 2018 You know I just live about an hour from the studio, I still have never been there yet. I will do my best to get over there this spring. Clayton717 and meflick 2 Quote
