Well it arrived safe and sound and looks like new.

Came supplied with the items in the photo and also two packs of blades.

One of the items has me a little puzzled.

The silver knurled knob seems to be part of a quick clamp. However it doesn’t fit any of the five clamps supplied.

I will no doubt order a new one

Jessica loves it 😄

That does look like it's brand new... Congrats.. I sure would like to give a Hegner a try someday... One day a nice used one will surface on craigslist and i'll actually have the money to buy it.. I'm kinda picky though as I want one with the quick release at the front of the saw... since I do mostly fretwork.. just makes sense...

Will Jessica   be using this? Love to see young ones learning this... My kids have played around a little but... they just never got into it.. same with me though.. I never liked it much until after my father passed away and one cold wintry night bored.. I went out into the garage and brought dads old saw in the house.. made a few things and haven't stopped making things since then.. I sort of think maybe my kids will do something similar one day..

That Quick Clamp should have come screwed into a clamp.   At least mine did.  They may do things differently on your side of the pond.  Mine came looking just like this https://www.advmachinery.com/products/hegner-quickclamp

They must have thrown in a wrong clamp because you have an odd number (5).

Anyway, congrats on owning the finest saw available (my opinion).  It takes a little getting use to and in the beginning I broke blades often.  After I got the feel for the tension, I had no more problems.

Hello Andy,

Congratulations to your new saw. You won't regret it.

The knob belongs to a clamp and is used to easily lock and unlock the sawblade.

I ordered one and it came as one piece. You have to find out in what clamp it belongs but it will save you a lot of time.

On the pictures you can see how it works.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for the pictures. Unfortunately the part doesn’t fit any of the supplied clamps.

I have ordered one but not in stock until the 9th of November.

I've never seen an unhappy scroller. Seems like she's thinking of making a dollhouse with custom furniture and a phone holder along with wooden earings,.And then some wooden bracelets to show off with. Start her off with useful girly things to tweak her interest in scrolling. A name tag for her bicycle would help with the cause. forget about paper dolls and have her cut a string of them to go on her wall of fame. Soon you'll be needing a scroll saw for yourself, lol!!
