My elderly good friend saw the clock that I am making for my father in law and made an off the cuff comment that he would love to see one in a bowling format. 

He meant lawn bowls. It’s a big thing in Stonehaven where I live. There must be hundreds of mainly senior citizens playing the game and some of them are really quite good at it. Stan (my friend) is in his eighties and still plays daily. 

I had a long look online and found very few ideas. The image below is perhaps the best I could find. The season has just ended so no opportunity to take a photograph myself. I want to make this for Stans Christmas present. 

Looking at the picture I could really use some advice on how best to make a clock using the bowler figure 

That is if you guys think it’s a suitable picture.

Depending upon what size clock you find to use, could you use the clock its self as the ball in that image?  Most are probably going to be bigger then that ball, but you could size the person up a little to make it a little more in proportion.
