seeing this made me think of how lucky i am i used one of these when i was a teenager working as a hired hand on a farm in northern missouri. spent about 4 months using it to cut fire wood with a farmall H tractor to heat the milk house and farmers home

 

so do you guys know what it is called ?

oh no ma'am, havent used one of these in about 15 years or so but i wouldnt mind having one that i could convert into a table saw

I use to use them on my grandparents farm to cut up fire wood, we just called it the Buzzsaw

I haven't seen one of those in a long time. thanks for bringing back some memories

clayton got it those where a real beast of a saw no safety of any kind usually sized between 16" and up to 36" blades if you got caught up in one your a goner for sure. sure would like to find one to make into a mini saw mill!

So the key safety note here is to not wear loose clothing around this machine. No resawing lumber in your bathrobe or cape.
