Sooooo...when not spending time this weekend sending arrows downrange or running honey-do errands, I muddled out a way to mount our bows.  To date, they've been stored in our bow cases and leaned against the wall in our master closet.  This gets them out where they can be appreciated.  There was a "His" and "Hers" scrolled sign, but they turned out to be a bit too big for the area the bows were mounted.  I'll have to make them smaller and mount them on the side of the vertical boards.  Eventually.  Right now, we know mine's the cammo (left-handed bows are rare and unless one wants to wait for a custom order, one goes with the color that's in stock) and hers is the black/blue one.

No pattern, no plans, just a day in the garage piecing things together and trying different fits.  Mount hardware are 1/2" black iron pipe plumbing fittings, wrapped heavily with self-vulcanizing rubber tape (left over from....ahem....Navy days.  In my defense, they told me to get rid of it!  I am.....slowly.....) to prevent the steel threads from slicing into the bows.  There wasn't enough room to hang them horizontally, unfortunately.

Okay, I'm lost here.  Are those compound bows, as in archery?  I would love to see more pictures if so.  I attempted archery when I was younger.  My son and I got compound bows. But that was a long time ago. I was never good at it, I did manage to get an arrow through my neighbors above ground swimming pool.... but well.....😖

Anyway, yours look a lot different than anything I had.

Nice work on the hangers.

Yep, those are compound bows.  I don't have any closer pics, I don't think, but basically its like a combo between a storm shutter and a barn door.  I picked up two 1x8x8's, cut them in half, sanded, and put two halves side by side.  The cross-pieces and diagonal are from a 2x2 ripped in half.  Woodglued them, clamped em down, then ran a couple of 1 1/4" screws through from the back side to hold everything in place.  I found that the bow, when mounted, was hitting the diagonal piece with the bowstring, so I added a "foot" for the lower cam to sit on to bring it out away from the diagonal.  Probably doesn't make much of a difference, but it made me feel a bit better.
