Jim McDonald Posted December 1, 2019 Report Posted December 1, 2019 Every time we allow something to access our router, the chances of problems multiply. We did an experiment this weekend: Put two iPhones on the table and began talking about something totally different. Hours later, ads for the topic we were discussing came up on the phones. Siri is a spy--but so is Alexa, etc. Quote
bandaideman Posted December 1, 2019 Report Posted December 1, 2019 Maybe we should turn off the TVs, talk to one anther, read books, write letters of encouragement to one another and play games together or puzzles. Well I guess I will see what's on tonight, enjoy your evening. Quote
Scrappile Posted December 2, 2019 Report Posted December 2, 2019 (edited) You should see my TV. It is an oldie, 27" screen, measured diagonally and just as deep. Gets turned on maybe 10 times a year. Talk to one another?? Wife and I went out for dinner the other night. We were the only ones in the restaurant not sitting at a table looking at a cell phone. We were afraid do speak, thought it my break a rule or something. So we sat their quietly and ate. So sad, but I can remember when TV came into the home,,,, yes I was there, the big complaint I remember is you went to someones house and all they did was sit and watch TV... LarryEA Posted December 2, 2019 Report Posted December 2, 2019 Years ago, we had a neighbor that turned her TV to face the wall because she didn't it spying on her. This was the 1960's. Ahead of her time. Quote
