OzarkSawdust Posted December 26, 2019 Report Posted December 26, 2019 Iguanadon's thread got me thinking about signage. I didn't want If I'm going to try some shows I'll need some kind of banner(s) and/or table signs. I'm guessing Vistaprint, Banners On The Cheep, or Build A Sign are the best places for low cost banners....? I'm no graphic artist....So could I ask a bunch of you to post a picture with your signage in it...Please? You might see something you like and want to put into a new one! Quote

Thanks Dennis! By the way...Love Walter in your avatar. We're Jeff Dunham fans, have seen him live several times! We have Peanut sitting on one of the lights in our 5th wheel, he travels with us. That is exactly the setup I will probably start out with! I really like the photo of you (?) at the scroll saw! I'm guessing you display 25 - 30 puzzles on that table and stand? Probably take some more shrink wrapped in a tote ? If you don't mind me asking (never done a show, I've been cutting about 4 months now) what do you get for a puzzle? From that setup (your normal setup or smaller) how many do you sell at a average show in your area...your best show? Thanks a lot! I'm trying to put together real world numbers and methods to venture shows. Quote

I'm trying to put together real world numbers and methods to venture shows. I also have the t-shirt that goes with the mug. We've seen Jeff and crew a couple times ourselves. I think there was about 30 on the stand and another 20 or so on the table with another tote with multiples of a few of the puzzles. In my market $20 per puzzle seemed fair. I know Iggy gets $25 but he is in a more tourist/"high rent" area. I've only done 4 shows so the average isn't really going to help much. In one, I made my entry fee back, which was more than many of the vendors, it was not well promoted. I think I sold 7 at one, and 12 at another. The other show was actually a 2 day youth hockey tournament that a few crafters and vendors were allowed to display and over the 2 days I sold 14. The entry for all of these was $50 or less so minimum risk. 1 of these events was actually more a pop-up on a Thursday in an unique office/retail/residential area. Old mill buildings renovated. It was only 4 hours and that one was where I sold 12. Hope this helps. OzarkSawdust 1 Quote

I personally use Vistaprint. They're usually having a sale of some sort, but if not THANKS20 code gets you 20% off any time. Here is a photo of my booth. The unicorn banner and the one in the back are from Vistaprint. The one along the top of my tent is from somewhere else since VP didn't offer one that size. OzarkSawdust 1 Quote
