Popular Post BadBob Posted January 12, 2020 Popular Post Report Posted January 12, 2020 I had a hard time deciding where to post this. I started to publish it in Bragging Rights and changed my mind because it is about something I sold. It sold Yesterday. The car is cut from a pine 2x4 and finished with amber shellac trimmed with red and black acrylic paint. These take a while to sell, but they do get sold. I have to wait for the right buyer to come along. I have different versions of my toys from Australia to Several countries in Europe. meflick, amazingkevin, jollyred and 9 others 12 Quote
new2woodwrk Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 Nice car - thanks for sharing Bragging rights I think would be more appropriate - but here works as well Quote
dgman Posted January 12, 2020 Report Posted January 12, 2020 Nice job on that! i agree, bragging rites would of been a better choice as not to many folks come here. Quote
BadBob Posted January 12, 2020 Author Report Posted January 12, 2020 This is the first place I go. I've looked at every post. Quote

I used to sell some of these type things years ago.. My best seller was the monster truck that Steve Good designed the pattern for.. I had a bunch of people wanting those.. I only did a couple of them.. Never was much into the selling of the toys like this.. but do enjoy making them.. BadBob 1 Quote
Rockytime Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 Pretty cool look'n hot rod! I'd also like to wee it in the bragging section. Since I don't sell I rarely visit here. amazingkevin 1 Quote
meflick Posted January 14, 2020 Report Posted January 14, 2020 Nice work. Here’s the “description” for this subforum - “Business Side” “Make your hobby pay for itself! Here's a great place to find tips and advice on making a few bucks to pay for supplies to a full on business.” The way I view that means it is for people to talk about tips and advice on trying to run a business doing scroll work. What works for you, what doesn’t, etc. Based on that, my personal opinion is that those topics are meant to be put here and just because it is a project that you sold, doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be posted in the “bragging” section. many people here sell their work, it show the finished piece in the bragging section. I also agree, that not everybody checks out this subforum, but most everybody probably checks out the bragging section. Foxfold and dgman 2 Quote
