planeur Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 (edited) Hello pro scrollers ! I am looking for a 1 to 1 plan of a wooden clock like this one found on the web. Do you know sites with some models and if it's possible free....! And downloadable on my computer ? Do you know that site : https://lisaboyer.com/Claytonsite/Claytonsite1.htm They seem to have a lot of models , some of you had business with them ? Thanks planeur Edited January 13, 2020 by planeur Quote
Scrappile Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 I have done business with that site. I built the three robots they have plans for (you can view them here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQc29ydhk0SgPhX4JcPioow) and I have the plans for the puffer steam engine model I hope to make one of these days. Dealing with Clayton was a pleasure and his plans are very well done. I also have the plans for the Ascent clock from this site: https://wooden-gear-clocks.com/ascentclock/ I have it all cut out and part way assembled.... hope to get back to it also. Dealing with this site was good also. Plans and service from both good. heppnerguy, planeur and multitom 1 2 Quote

planeur Posted January 17, 2020 Author Report Posted January 17, 2020 Hello Jes I just made some copy ( 8 1/2" x 11" ) of the PDF document and the clock and was wandering for the size of it.... Do you have an idea of the size of that clock on page 120 ? I would say around 8" in dia. for the biggest wheel . Thanks planeur Quote

If I extract the page for the HW (Hour Wheel) from the pdf and set it to print @100%, it will print on 4 pages. That leads me to believe it's more like10-12 inches in diameter. Have you tried to extract the page or print it at 100% within the pdf? When I print the HW to a file and convert it back to a pdf and open the ruler in my adobe, the diameter of the HW is 16 inches Edited January 17, 2020 by new2woodwrk Quote
planeur Posted January 17, 2020 Author Report Posted January 17, 2020 I just measured somes holes of the page 129 , on my copy 8 1/2" X 11", let say smalls holes of 1/8" D or 3/16" D , well it is exactly the same measure on my ruler! It is quite big already at almost 8" in dia. for the big wheel , so at 16 " it would be an enormous clock! I will continue my evaluation of all the plan. Thank you! planeur new2woodwrk 1 Quote
