MarylandScroller Posted February 13, 2020 Report Posted February 13, 2020 Hello, I am trying to find a source for nautical "driftwood" wall art. Does anybody know where I could obtain this sort of pattern (see attached image) ? Thanks, Alan Quote
grampa Posted February 14, 2020 Report Posted February 14, 2020 Hi, If you google fish silhouettes you will find plenty then do the same for sea weed and you should be able to make your self a good pattern ...paul ChelCass and Scrolling Steve 2 Quote
don in brooklin on Posted February 15, 2020 Report Posted February 15, 2020 I kinda did what Paul suggested and here is my attempt. Note size is 4 by 8. I think this would be bigger so I would enlarge at least 150 to 200% using Acrobat Reader in poster mode. That would give either 6 x 12 or 8 by 16. Depends on the size of the wood you have. A pattern like this would look good in a piece of blue pine or some thing distressed and stained. Also I only put in a few of the bubbles for effect. I would take a drill and randomly put in the bubbles. If you had a counter sink bit that would work to enlarge opening. If you are looking for a specific size let me know. wall art fishies.pdf Alexander Fadeev, WayneMahler, frankorona and 4 others 6 1 Quote
MarylandScroller Posted February 17, 2020 Author Report Posted February 17, 2020 Thank you, Paul and Don. Don, your pattern looks good. Some time ago, I saw a video on Youtube, which showed how to finish and "distress/age" a pine board so it had that "driftwood" look. I think that would work well with this project. Quote
