Well, I've just put the pattern onto the wood and hopefully I can do some work on it this weekend.    Not sure I can do something this 'fine' with a router, but nothing ventured nothing gained.   Wish me luck.   🥴

Will do updates on the off chance some of you would be interested.

Friday - Update part 1......  Cutting the outline.

Saturday - Update part 2 ... Starting to carve out the shape

Monday - Finished carving out.

Friday 27/2 - Managed to get to the shed to finish this today. I learned a fair few lessons on this piece. Don't use thin birch ply, not because it doesn't cut well enough with the router, but it doesn't take well to too much sanding to remove the paint. 🤣Also, automotive paint goes 'everywhere' and don't come off easy 🤣.  All that said, I'm not unhappy with my skill level with the router, it's definitely getting better the more I do.

Looking good!!  You don't have a "CNC"  are a "HCC" Human Controlled Cutter....  Or something like that.  😉

Well, I've been called worse !!!🤣

A little trick I've learned from doing some cnc routing.  Seal the piece before cutting.  Then cut, and paint.  Then wipe surface before doing finish sanding.  The sealed surface helps in the paint removal process.  Having said all of that - you are amazing doing that by hand!  Well Done!  👍👍  Russ
