JimErn Posted February 28, 2020 Report Posted February 28, 2020 Does anyone know of a source for the only the arbor that is used in the flex drum sanding kit? Quote
tgiro Posted February 28, 2020 Report Posted February 28, 2020 Judy only sells the kits. You might try SeyCo.com. Ray has them, but I don't know if he only sells the arbor. I see that Treeline has started carrying them, but they only display kits. I've seen used ones on ebay, but be careful - there is an older version of the arbor that is a smooth shaft. It doesn't have the extruded fins. And it doesn't work well with the drums being sold now. Quote
GrampaJim Posted February 28, 2020 Report Posted February 28, 2020 OK Jim, I have to ask. Why just the arbor? You can always use more sanding drums that come with the kit. I buy drums by the bunch. Quote

I find that the sanding surface, belt sander, spindle sander, orbital sanders all last a long time as long as I use a sneaker on the surface after each use. So since the kit came with three grits, I figured an get another arbor and I can mount two of them with different grits. I tried all the source previously mentioned, and a search found nothing, My frugal nature just hates to have all those sleeves sitting around when all I need/want is the arbor.
