How about water?  Does the virus cause the water pumps to stop working?  LOL  Why is everyone buying water?

Surely you don't expect people to drink TAP water do you? How dangerous it that?

Speaking as a drinking water plant operator there are contingent plans in place for this up to sequestering a few operators at the plants.

For those that think buying bottled water is safer than tap water here is a good read.  https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2000/03/000322090356.htm

There are exceptions such as Flint MI where a money man over rules someone that knows what they are doing. Not all plants are ran at the greatest of quality but 99% of the plants produce great safe to drink water.

That said I do buy spring water to fix coffee with. I hate the taste of chlorine in coffee. I have found that it is cheaper to buy the quantity that I use at home than to maintain a charcoal filter.

Don't any one panic about the water during the crisis. It will keep flowing as long as we have electricity to operate our pumps or fuel to run our generators.

Back in central NC where we were born and raised the utility water was fine. Here in Pinellas County the utility water is nasty in taste, and makes our stomach hurt. Bottled water it is!
