Foxfold Posted May 16, 2020 Report Posted May 16, 2020 I've taken a video on my phone of my new workshop and wanted to put it up on here. However it keeps 'failing' and I have absolutely no idea why. Can anyone help ? OCtoolguy 1 Quote
Paul hd Posted May 16, 2020 Report Posted May 16, 2020 Join Youtube and upload it there, then post a link onto the forum. I am sure you will find lots of info on youtube showing you how to do this. OCtoolguy and Foxfold 1 1 Quote
don in brooklin on Posted May 16, 2020 Report Posted May 16, 2020 (edited) I just did a test and I loaded and 29 second mp4 and it worked just fine. Therefore, it might be the length or the type. How big is your file and what is the type? PS: This video is for a a ZOOM meeting virtual background so you can leave a meeting and it just loops to look like you are there. video.mp4 Edited May 16, 2020 by don in brooklin on OCtoolguy and amazingkevin 1 1 Quote

It lasted over a minute I'll try again and make shorter video. It went just fine onto my Facebook page and I presumed it would fit on here too .. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
kmmcrafts Posted May 16, 2020 Report Posted May 16, 2020 I know I've read of others uploading directly to the village.. I've never been able to get that to work for me... even a very short 10 sec. one won't work for me.. I'm not sure what it is.. so I typically load up to my FB page or youtube.. They upload fasted on FB.. but youtube has better settings on who sees it etc.. amazingkevin, OCtoolguy and Foxfold 1 2 Quote
munzieb Posted May 16, 2020 Report Posted May 16, 2020 I wanted to upload a video on the village on some processes I used for my making my plaques. I contacted Travis about the size of the files and they were BIG!. He suggested I upload them to youtube and then copy the link to my SSV posting. Youtube has lots of settings for your video that are helpful. Works fine now. BTW, I used my phone for the video but wanted to work hands free. I have a Selfie Stick and the handle is 3/4" in diameter. Drilled a hole in a 7 x 7 piece of wood that was 1.5" thick (piece of cutoff joist) Works great! OCtoolguy and Foxfold 2 Quote
