BadBob Posted June 28, 2020 Report Posted June 28, 2020 Is anyone selling bird houses in gift boxes? Any suggestions are welcome. Quote
don in brooklin on Posted June 28, 2020 Report Posted June 28, 2020 Interesting you posted this as I have been on the hunt for a box for mini bird houses. I make a present each year for all the teachers in my daughters school. She is the principal. This year is going to be a mini bird house. A few years ago I did children's cancer awareness ornaments and I put in a gold box. Turned out to be a great gift for all the children in Durham (140) with cancer. This box is not deep enough. I have an email out to the company to see if I can a 2 inch box like this but so far no answer. Our next choice is https://www.uline.ca/Product/Detail/S-7633/Retail-Boxes/Gift-Boxes-3-x-3-x-2-White-Gloss?pricode=YF165&gadtype=pla&id=S-7633&gclid=CjwKCAjw_-D3BRBIEiwAjVMy7D0uJg7y1sfa-qUs2q_eZcMAhlIkCkrsukirnuZX-qVuLxQcPkg_shoCg6EQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds This is Uline Canada but they have plants all over the USA. My daughter is going to call and see if she can get a sample. I know that Rolf posted about selling regular ornaments in a box and how it increased sales a lot. If you find a box please let me know. kmmcrafts Posted June 28, 2020 Report Posted June 28, 2020 Yeah I get a lot of feedback from my " regular ornaments" being in a gift box.. Most of my ornament sales are gifts and it's much easier to gift wrap a box.. Apparently other etsy sellers don't do this.. because I get huge reviews about my ornaments being in gift boxes.. I don't know a box size you'd need for your situation but I do know most all my customers comment either in the review they leave me or they message me.. so I'd say if it's not a selling advantage it's certainly appreciated by the customers.. amazingkevin and John B 2 Quote

BadBob Posted June 29, 2020 Author Report Posted June 29, 2020 I think I'm going to go with the 4x4x4 boxes, probably white. I'll put a little fiberfill in the bottom and more on top to fill the box. A bag of fiberfill is $5 at WalMart. I figure the cost per box will be about 35 cents unless someone comes up with a better idea. You can get these in colors if you want. Check out this google search. Quote

I can't take the credit for being the originator of using the boxes because I got the idea from Rolf several years ago... LOL But it sure is a great idea and the customers love them from my experience.. Those boxes look like they'd work well for you.. BadBob 1 Quote
