Dave Monk Posted October 14, 2020 Report Posted October 14, 2020 I really like it Grandpa Jim. I have never worked with butternut. I really like the color. Can you buy Aspen locally? Quote

Can you buy Aspen locally? I get Aspen at the local big box store - Menards in my area. Home Depot also carries it. Butternut I get from a local hardwoods dealer. Butternut is nice to work with, a lot softer than Walnut. It cuts and sands fairly easily. Dave Monk 1 Quote

I had bought some Aspen this summer when we went to IL at Menards but we don't have one here in Texas. I can buy all kinds of other exotic wood locally reasonable but I haven't found Aspen. As tight as I am I hate to buy wood on line and pay for the shipping. GrampaJim 1 Quote

There are some great online dealers out there, but I hate shipping costs too. Dave Monk 1 Quote
