Thanks Clayton. I'm still learning to turn.. I need to get some 2x4's cut them into blanks and practice turning on them.

Nice job. What type of finsish did you use?

shellacwax.. it's a friction polish from PSI. just put some on a paper towel, hold it to the wood, and press.. the pressure heats it up and melts it into a smooth finish. it's how I've done all my pens so far. quick and simple.
