Truck phone stand

I'm making my Christmas presents as much as I can this year. Saving money and getting more scroll saw experience. 

I'm not the best at making patterns and would love for help or recommendations on how to modify a Steve Good pattern. I'm hoping to be able to add a 1950s style truck to the back instead of the guitar. Other ideas I've has it making a 3D truck that is a phone holder but haven't had the time to mess with my computer to see what I can do. I'm also still learning how to make scroll saw patterns. What I've done so far has been pre-made patterns or very minor modifications that I just overlay another pattern on top of.

Style of truck pictures attached. Found a phone stand idea I like if it can be modified to have the correct style and I can figure out how to make the phone stand not topple over from the phone. 

Would lover ideas/recommendations or whatever help I could get to make this idea possible.

Finally finished the truck just in time for Christmas.  Deviated from the pattern slightly for the phone stand part but the fenders and body worked perfectly.  Thanks for the pattern help.
