Learned something new about Portrait making

 I was killing time watching Youtube videos and I can across a lady making portraits for Cricut machine.  I have tried doing with GIMP without much success.  

this was supper easy and I tried with a picture an it 2 steps I now have an svg that I can make cuttable with Inkscape.

Step 1.  Go to remove.bg

1. Upload a photo.
2. Remove Background
3. Save picture

Step 2 Go to picsvg.com

1. Upload png from above
2. Inspect the various options
3. Download svg.

You now have an svg you can open in Inkscape and use the eraser tool to make and rivers required. delete any extraneous nodes and fix odd stuff( like finger below)

 

Below is original picture, then with background removed, and the svg with out edits yet.

My wife has a Cricut but, she always gives me the photos to convert so she can use them on her Cricut! LOL
