I use the PSI blanks, and though they don't tell you when you order them, that some of the blanks, they suggest a white tube, rather than the brass tube. I'm wondering what you all use to paint your tubes for those style blanks. Flat white spray, or flat white brushed on? I'm guessing that I need to rought up the brass first, then paint it, so the paint and epoxy has a place to bond to..

Thanks.

When I do paint the tube I just use a flat spray paint. When I think seeing through the blank will be a problem I paint the inside of the blank using a Q-tip and model paint. I always ruff the tube up before painting and glueing in. Since I have been making my own acrylics I put more than enough "pigment" into the resin so that you cannot see through it when turned.

I paint the inside of the blank always and the tube just some times. I also use enamel model paints, but am going to try acrylics to speed up the drying. It some times takes two days to for the enamel to dry. When I paint the tubes I use spray paint, the kind that drys in 15 minutes.

Do you use CA or epoxy to glue in the tubes? I've been using epoxy becasue I had troubles with the CA peeling the paint.
