Popular Post smitty0312 Posted August 8, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted August 8, 2021 Tried something new on the grill tonight…..sliced a couple baking potatoes lengthwise 3/8” thick to make the planks…..grilled 7 minutes ea side on medium high heat…..put on upper rack after that while rest of food cooked…..then put shredded cojack on top & let melt….once on plate I added a blob of sour cream & a little S&P….they were delicious, hardest part is cutting the planks evenly….you need a sharp knife danny, flarud, WayneMahler and 7 others 10 Quote
dgman Posted August 8, 2021 Report Posted August 8, 2021 Looks good Dan! Seems to me you could slice the potatoes with a band saw! smitty0312, danny and LarryEA 1 2 Quote

Dak0ta52 Posted August 24, 2021 Report Posted August 24, 2021 I gave this a try this past weekend. Turned out great. Mine were a little thicker, maybe 1/2 inch, and I flipped them after 10 minutes. Once I flipped them I added diced onion, bacon and topped with shredded sharp and pepper jack cheese. After 10 more minutes the cheese had melted and I plated them adding salt, pepper and a dollop of sour cream. Huge hit. Thanks so much for the idea. smitty0312 1 Quote
