planeur Posted November 25, 2021 Report Posted November 25, 2021 (edited) Hello everyone, do not come on the site not to often , but read you regulary. For the 50e anniversary of my nephew Fred, I created this clock from the back of another one , slice in 2 parts , and made in 2019. I added a new part to the clock with the word “ sensei “ in Japanese, which mean “ teacher or master “ which he is at his Karate/Justu school. Had to be very careful with the cutting of those small letters....! As you probably saw the hours numbers are the letter of “ 50 “ in French! Had lot of fun to create this one. Wood are cherry and walnut, plus a thin piece of marquetry in the center, with a oil and wax finition. planeur Edited November 25, 2021 by planeur Dave Monk, meflick, Jim Finn and 4 others 7 Quote
