Select the text you want to bridge,Then select the bezier tool for curves or straight lines.

it is about three above the text tool. also go to File,Document properties, then select snap and set the two active sliders to zero for distance.

use the bezier tool to draw a bridge, then select the text and the bridge and go to Path,Difference to cut it.

Hope this helps,

Labradorbob

I do quite a few of these and I often use the font called scroll script that already has the bridges in it.

All so created a template so I just have to put Big word in the Times and the small name in the script and then change to paths.

If you want more info please let me know.
