Here is a start.  I am not sure of size but as it depends on egg.  If you have a lathe you can turn a wooden egg or cut egg shape an round.  Also, could fit with Cadbury egg.

If you are close to the Lee Valley in Winnipeg they sell wooden eggs for $1.90 each.

The eye is there as guide to paint.

Thanks Don.    I just wish I knew where I got the pattern in the first place!!   I don't have a lathe.  I just have some of the plastic, refillable eggs.
