Popular Post beaver Posted June 28, 2024 Popular Post Report Posted June 28, 2024 Started this project a few days ago, looks like it's going to be interesting. It's a free pattern that I downloaded from craftmanspace.com/ as an svg file submitted by Ceh Jan, and imported to Inkscape and sized it to my desired dimensions. JTTHECLOCKMAN Posted June 29, 2024 Report Posted June 29, 2024 Nice project. My opinion only is that I would skip the fret work on the shelves and just do the sides and back. No advantage of doing shelves except that placing things on them can damage delicate cuts or even things can drop through is placed wrong. Again just my opinion. I have done many fret work shelves over the years and actually never seen a project where the shelves are also fret work. Anyway show us the finished project. I am sure it will look good. It is a challenging project for sure. danny 1 Quote

Actually I didn't think about that aspect of the cutting, good point but this is mostly just a showpiece and I enjoy cutting out as many intricate parts as possible. A super good way to pass a few hours relaxing and forgetting everything else. So far finished both sides and one shelf. Looking forward to tackling the back panel, should be fun, LOL.
