Inkscape . on the main page . beside the page the screen  is dark gray and I want it back to white.?

Not sure how to do that? also I need to take a screen shot of my inkscape page . not sure how to do that as well?

With most windows it is depending on hardware ctrl, shift or Windows  and key that says PrtScr.  All 3 work on my computer.

That copies whole screen to the the clipboard. You can past using ctrl-v.

I am not sure the area you are speaking of but usually the colours on the layout are controlled by document properties (under file).

I run in the dark mode so it might be different.

To change the colors of the main Inkscape page use the following steps

From the pull down menus, Edit > preferences > interface > Theming > Change GTK theme > select from the list until you get the theme you want (the colors change without any other input)
