A shout out to my amazing niece.  She won't ever see this but deserves some recognition.  

KJP Hardwoods had an event yesterday and in the ad was showing free Purple Heart and TruFlat samples.  KJP is in Ottawa....I am not!!  On a whim, I texted her to see if she was available to head over there and grab me some.  She said she was able to do it after work.  Now, she doesn't own a vehicle, so this would be by public transport.  I got a text from her a few hours later when she had arrived at KJP!  She wanted to know if there was anything else I wanted!!  Dangerous question.  She will be mailing me the Purple Heart project board and TruFlat sample.  She is excited to see what I am going to make with it.  So am I!

I have had nieces pick up cakes for me, but wood AND doing it on the bus is true affection.
