Joe W. Posted September 23, 2024 Report Posted September 23, 2024 After replacing the items I sold last December and cutting out some new patterns, I attended a local small town's celebration day. No charge for space, so that was a plus. And the weather was perfect which was an added bonus. Didn't sell much (just short of $150), but was pleasantly surprised at what did sell. Puzzles were the most category item sold with the Parrot puzzle taking first place (sold 2). And now, back to the sawdust. barb.j.enders, Wichman, JackJones and 1 other 4 Quote

Mike Crosa Posted September 23, 2024 Report Posted September 23, 2024 Agree a good day. Question on the Parrot Puzzle. Was it natural or did you paint it? Quote
kmmcrafts Posted September 24, 2024 Report Posted September 24, 2024 Sounds like you had a good time and made a little money doing it, so that is always a good day Quote

Hi Mike, I cut it out of Poplar wood and dyed the pieces using my wife's cake food coloring and alcohol. Then sprayed it with polyacrylic to seal the colors in. The pattern came from Big Book of Scroll Saw Woodworking (got it thru the library). BadBob and barb.j.enders 2 Quote
