Job well done. I am sure they will be treasured for many years to come. Hope they fill them with their own dreams too. Not a small project for sure but you did great. I love the wood chosen and the color of stains. Time to get started on next year's project. Sure looks like everyone is happy with this one. Thanks for showing.

Thank you. I was very happy with the water based lacquer you recommended. The only issue, which was my fault not the lacquer, was I sprayed it in my shop and with such a large amount of spraying there was a LOT of white, baby powder like overspray on everything. It didn’t just vacuum up but I just had to brush over it with my Webster dust/spider web broom first.  I didn’t have a choice at the time due to the weather. Lesson learned. 😁

Yea I always like to do large spray projects outside. I understand the weather situation. We all should have a spray booth. I guess we can dream. Again lots of work in them but well done. I hope you signed them and dated them somewhere so they can look back and remember. My Dad made lots of small toys for us over the years and also full size projects like desks and storage boxes and always wish he had dated them. We can still guess the dates but the grandkids will never be able to. Just a thought.

I burned POP BOX in the back, really because I like the name and selfishly they will never forget who made them that way. I didn't get a chance to do it yet but I'm planning to get some 2024 pennies and countersink them into the back to date them all.
