Good evening,

I am going to try putting my toe into learning to do intarsia, and would like to see what you experts are using for shaping and sanding. Like what is your setup (pictures would be really helpful) , thx in advance, RJ

Here is a video of my sanding station.  https://youtu.be/43HcrhpynsI?si=_GJYxDc1OBh09j8e

In addition to the standing station I also use a Dremel with the flex shaft plus a Mac Mop for final finishing.

In the picture the Mac Mop is in front of the sanding station that usually has a wonder wheel on the right end but this picture I have a sanding mop,

Don, I am curious about the hood you have over the drum sander.  How did you make that?

The Dust hood came from Workshopsupply. Cheap about $13. I also added a bast gate so I can use the dust collection with my Flatmaster.

I think Busy Bee carries the same.  If you watch the video I added some bird netting to prevent small pieces disappearing when you sand your fingers.

I have a hood, that came with my dust collection system.  I have screening between the hose & the hood.  I will check out Workshop Supply.  Thanks.

I guess, what/how did you attach on top of the hood?
