don in brooklin on Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 Here is a video of my sanding station. https://youtu.be/43HcrhpynsI?si=_GJYxDc1OBh09j8e In addition to the standing station I also use a Dremel with the flex shaft plus a Mac Mop for final finishing. In the picture the Mac Mop is in front of the sanding station that usually has a wonder wheel on the right end but this picture I have a sanding mop, BadBob and barb.j.enders 2 Quote
barb.j.enders Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 Don, I am curious about the hood you have over the drum sander. How did you make that? Quote
barb.j.enders Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 RJWeb, I have a flex drum shaft/macmop set up like Don. Mine is mounted on a flip cart. On the other side is my belt/disc sander and the small wen spindle sander. I have a flex shaft unit by my work bench. Quote

The Dust hood came from Workshopsupply. Cheap about $13. I also added a bast gate so I can use the dust collection with my Flatmaster. I think Busy Bee carries the same. If you watch the video I added some bird netting to prevent small pieces disappearing when you sand your fingers. Quote
rjweb Posted April 29 Author Report Posted April 29 Thank you Don, Barb, for your expert advise on the setup, it will help a great deal, Thx RJ Quote

I have screening between the hose & the hood. I will check out Workshop Supply. Thanks. I guess, what/how did you attach on top of the hood? Edited April 29 by barb.j.enders Quote
