I'm not sure if I can post this so if it's breaking rules I'm not offended if it's deleted

the reason I say this is I was going to make another Steve good monster truck I blew up the wheel pattern 150 percent and decided to just make my own design

not

sure

of it will work but I'll give it a shot

i never designed anything except tables or cabinets so this is a stretch for me

good thing if it fails it's not a large amount of wood

im using the wheels I already cut but making my own pattern so this is where I'm  not sure

the wheels are goods patterns I hade them made

i laid them out on grid paper and when I start cutting parts I'll mark off which lines I need to follow for each part

i plan on making the cab 3 sections approx 4 inches wide with 2 side sections

all accessories like roof rack spare tire fog lights etc will be measured an cut after I get initial body done so I don't waste a lot of time cutting them if I'm  it happy with the results

just finished pattern and made a bunch of copies

I saw a bunch of these suv type beach buggies on the beaches in florida

like broncos or jeeps all hyped up with over sized wheels so that's what I'm going for

I got this far today

this weekend is gone as I'm picking up the 4 year old little monster and he expects his old crippled grandpa to give him uninterrupted attention morning noon and night

I made it a four seater with space in between seats I'll put a shift stick in when I do the dash board and ateeeing wheel and some dials

it will get a roof rack some fog lights light guards and whatever else I can make

nothing is glued or sanded and I tried to hold it together with tape for a pic

outer panels are sapele 3/8 th inch outside body parts are Spanish cedar 1 and 1/4 and inside body part is poplar 1 inch

used a Flying Dutchman psr 9 blade for body parts and psr 7 for sapele panels

the 7 blade was a bit aggressive maybe could have went down to a 3 but I'm learning

have a look

i was already told the wheel supports grain orientation might make them suseptable to snapping off, but this one is going on a shelf in my office, noone, not even the monster boy coming over tomorrow gets to touch it. so it should be safe when its done
