RabidAlien Posted May 22 Report Posted May 22 Wanting to say I found this one in the Pattern Library. Picked it up some time ago, though....got it enlarged, printed out, laid out on 3/8 bbply, pilot holes drilled....and my old 16" Wen was too small to run the piece. Didn't have room to turn it around or get to some of the interior cuts. So it got set aside in the "oops too big" stack. Upgraded to a Pegas 21" (almost got the 30", but my wallet growled at me....as did my wife....). Spent a couple of months doing some small projects here and there to get used to the tensioning, top-feeding, foot pedal, basically getting comfortable with the new saw (which absolutely ROCKS, btw), and pulled this one out of the stack. Pegas ran it like a charm. Went through a bunch of Pegas MG 01 and 1 blades until I figured out the tensioning (do NOT push the tension lever past the first "tight" spot...hard to explain without one in front of you, but there's a little notch where the blade tightens, then you can push it a smidge further and click it in place...I thought that last step was necessary. It isn't. You'll twang a blade in no time flat.). One is stained Minwax Natural and Honey, the other is rattlecan silver sparkle and fireengine red. Honestly thought my daughter would go for the silver/red. She likes the Minwax one, though. LOL DickMira, danny, MarieC and 6 others 9 Quote
Scrappile Posted May 22 Report Posted May 22 Very well done. I agree with your daughter. I prefer the stained one, but it is just a personal opinion. I could not explain why I do, but I do. Very well cut. RabidAlien 1 Quote
rjweb Posted May 22 Report Posted May 22 Very nice I also like the stained one a lot more, RJ RabidAlien 1 Quote
RabidAlien Posted May 22 Author Report Posted May 22 Me too, but the colors do contrast nicely....I don't hate the red/silver one, at least. Quote

I did find the pattern file, but it had no makers' marks or signatures or any info on where I got it, but yeppers, that looks exactly like the one I cut. Quote
