Popular Post Insane Dust Maker Posted August 8, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted August 8, 2025 Another beautiful Russ Beard pattern cut on 3mm Baltic Birch Ply using a Niqua #1 straight pin less blade. The finish it was soaked in BLO and Mineral mixture. I will be making a frame for this one as it’s a Gift to a very unsuspecting old lady in our parish. On a personal note I have to curtail my cutting as I have been diagnosed with Macular Eye Generation, in a nutshell I’m losing my eyesight and I must reduce the strain I put on my eyes. The Ophthalmologist has suggested I use a paint of readers (he has given me the diopter strength) in combination with my illuminated magnifying lens, this is to assist the eye site as well as protect my spectacle's as I have scratched them before. heppnerguy, RabidAlien, Dak0ta52 and 8 others 10 1 Quote

heppnerguy Posted August 11, 2025 Report Posted August 11, 2025 I am so lucky so far with my health and lack of major problems. Sorry to hear you are going through yours. Your doctor seemed to find a great suggestion for you as this project turned our fabulous. Keep up the great job and be careful not to over due things. Dick heppnerguy Quote
DrPete Posted August 11, 2025 Report Posted August 11, 2025 RJ, beautiful work. Regarding spectacles etc. my Aunt had MD and there is a really nice Camera TV setup she used to do her needlepoint. Might be worth looking into to help, maybe insurance will pay for it? Quote
