Baltic birch

Someone near me is a cnc and laser cutter and is selling there left over  Baltic birch for a $1 a pound

so do you think that is worth it

1/8 and 1/4 inch thick

It depends on the sizes of the leftover pieces and what you intend to do with them.  It is a great price if they are big enough for your purposes.

Done that myself.  As long as you can store it flat get yourself a bunch.
