WolfmoonCT Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 My girlfriend turned these for her parents. She got one top at woodcraft, the other at PSI.. (to me they are the same company making them, just branded under different names). She used a 7x7x4" Madrone Burl, and we split it in half, cut it to 6" long, then used a 1" forstner bit on an extension to drill out a center hole. We made some jam chucks out of scrap wood, and away she went. I think they turned out really nice. I split and drilled the holes, but she did the rest of the turning and finishing. I think they came out great.. I think she may need to make us a set next. LOL Travis 1 Quote
Clayton717 Posted December 28, 2012 Report Posted December 28, 2012 those look great. She did an excellent job. check out woodnwhimsies.com they sell most things PSI carries at a lower cost. they are a reseller for them. I buy a most of my turning stuff from them because they have better service than PSI ad cheaper. Quote
