Years ago i was given a set of metal knurled blade clamp knobs for a DeWalt and EX type saws. I tried them for a few days. They weren’t any better than the originals and actually less comfortable. I passed them on to someone else. I saw recently that www.sayco.com has some round plastic knobs that might be more comfortable. Check them out.

I assume you mean one of these. They are okay, I modified a Steve Good design (RIP Steve).  Unsure if the weight throws off the balance of the action though.  So I made mine removeable.  I slip it on, tighten (careful not to over tighten), then slide it off.

I put together the Steve Good design and for these arthritic hands, it was insufficient. Somewhere on Steve's site, I found a pattern that had four arms. I have no idea where I found it, but I resized it in Word and attached it to the part that attaches it to the turning knob. I don't use is all the time, but when I do, this works. I think that this can be improved on. You could cut off one set of the knobs, but for now, this works for me.
