Help small cuts

Hi , I'm a bit stuck on how I make a very small cut its about the thickness off 2 Blades ,if I use a drill bit it will look like a tear, I'm using plane end blades hope you understand what I'm trying to do.

They do make whats known as micro drill bits that are very small. the cut you want to make is refered to as "veining" if i'm not mistaken and the only way to hide the hole is to start with a hole as small as the blade or blend the cut to the sixe of the bit you have. The bits are available at different places and i think Mikes workshop sells them as well along with the mini chuck. hope this helps

I like mikes drill bits, but for the chuck, I like the precision pin chuck at Sloans.

I cut the real long shaft off mine, cause i found it made it wobble.  so now I just chuck up the thick shaft behind the head into the drill press.
