What the heck ? Nobody knew I was gone ? Well I was. Traveled to Colorado and met up with some of my buddies I was in the army with and their wives. Sent 5 wonderful days in the middle of the Rocky Mountains and had a wonderful time. my wife and I spent 4 days driving there and 4 days driving back. I am now ready to hit the shop tomorrow and get busy on 6 projects to complete. Good thing I spent so much time with my wife these past 13 days because she probably won't see much of me for awhile. I will be posting my new projects and I got several ideas for patterns to make. Good to be back here in The village again. Even though no one knew I was gone from here, I miss all of you..

Hi Dick, I also say it's good to have you back, The furthest I ever drove was going down

to Portsmouth 300 miles from where I lived at the time, It took me six and a half hour's,

went down without a break, See you soon, Bob ;)

I spent all day in the shop..thinking about going out again as I still have a couple of hours left in my day. The wife drove a lot of the way there and about 1/2 way back home. we had some beautiful snow the last two days in Colorado and the place we stayed at is 9460 feet in altitude and surrounded by much higher mountains. Thank for all the welcome backs. I just posted it as a joke. What a great group we have here on The Village. I missed all you people. Talked about The Village and all of you a lot to my Army pals. Tomorrow I hope to finish 3 of my projects and get them posted. Two were rather challenging for me to come up with an idea for an intarsia pattern. You will see what I mean, if I can finish it ..well off to the shop

Bob, I often drive 200 miles one way when we go to Portland to visit family. 300 miles in a day is a piece of cake for me. I am getting to where I am willing to share the driving with my wife becauseshe is intimidated by me about her driving, I want her to get comfortable driving with me in the car. She brakes a little to heavy for me and it makes me a little nervous when I ride with her. I was able to talk her into driving a lot on the trip and it helped both of us. know that most Europeans do not seem to drive very far very often. I think it has to do with the great public transportation you have there. I would drive for 8 hours and it would not bother me a bit. That probably has to do with the fact that I drove a truck for a living for 40 years..
