Bishop Posted December 10, 2013 Report Posted December 10, 2013 The horse was done using a left and right hand piece of intarsia. We used Walnut and Cottonwood for the horse's body and Ebony for the hooves. There were 43 pieces used for the project. The main part of the body was shaped and sanded and then the tail, ears and hooves were added. The base is poplar and the mound was cut at a 2 degree angle and then expanded upward. The face of the mound is Wenge and the bushes are cut from scrap wood. The project measures 14" X 11" X 12" God Bless Homer & Carol Doug, amazingkevin and Fab4 3 Quote
