    well done on your first intarsia project, I have the same pattern and it did come with a VHS tape called Intarsia made easy. I ordered it from SCROLLER ltd. and the person name is Dale in the video tape that was making the Chunky Chipmunk.

    I use clear glaze that i found at walmart when you spray one coat on it's like spraying three coats on every coat you put on and it looks good.
