HI all

I took a small reading clamp light and clamped it to my scrollsaw stand so the light faces up. When I want to check if my holes are drilled ok when I am sawing I just hold it over the light and I can see if all the holes are drilled ok for putting the blade through. Just an idea I came up with one day as I was trying to see why my blade  would not go thru a hole

Good idea Bill. I frequently hold the piece up to a light after drilling to make sure every hole goes all the way through.

What I found works for me is drilling slower and drilling on top of a piece of scrap wood to prevent tearout as the drill comes through. This seems to keep blockage of the holes to a minimum.
