  1. Very Nice !! I also have done a Stevie cutting
  2. OK. - I'm calling overlay a scrolled layer that is attached to a backer board or a Second layer. Steve Goode has several patterns that are this way. Now - before cutting anything, Attach some double sided adhesive to the back side of the piece to be cut. (before cutiing ) I would assume that the waxy release paper would act as a lubricant while cutting just like packing tape. After all the cutting and drilling is done, remove the release paper and apply it to the backer. No Messy Glue Squeeze Out
  3. Used oak scrap, got lucky with stack cut. 1/8 in thick each
  4. My profile avitar wasn't the first one, I was 99.9% done when the saw chattered and the piece blew up.
  5. REST IN PEACE time and effort
  6. Just wanted to see how small I could cut.
  7. I was just looking through a bunch of patterns with overlays, and was thinking how hard it would be to "Cleanly" glue them to the base. I may be wrong, ( I can't recall seeing or hearing of this ), Why not attach a quality double sided tape to it before you cut and then several coats of your choice of sealer? Just thinking

  9. Thanks all! mike has a good reputation and I will continue with that
  10. I was wondering if Mike still sold Flying Dutchman blades. If not where is the best place to order gross quantities of blades, and the small 75 and larger bits? I was just out taking an inventory of my supplies and noticed i have very few of my 2/0 blades left. Also, I kind of know how to use spiral blades, but what is the best and can they be used for everyday day cutting? I like a whole lot of detail in most of my work and will spiral do that fine of work? Thanks for letting me be a pain in the you know what
  11. My thoughts on that would be the way you "SELL" your product. For example, I always market it as one of a kind and heirloom quality, I tell my customers that no two are the same and it is also a good conversation piece. Sometimes that works sometimes not.
  12. I use a Jewelers Visor and i love it ! I inherited all of my scroll equipment and it came with a visor, two extra sets of snap on lenses ( 3x - 5x ). it is soo handy to have and if I nee it for drilling, it is right there on my head. My DeWalt has the light on the side and I also have three flourescent lights with four bulbs each. PLENTY OF LIGHT.
  13. Very nice, is there a pattern?

  22. Hello Mark! My name is Paul and I couldn't agree more about handcrafted quality. CNC is not an art!!!! All that is done is pushing some buttons and letting a machine do the work, while drinking some coffee then saying "Look What I Made" Yeah Right We put a lot of time in to our work tto make it what it is No Two Pieces Alike Just Venting
  23. It is only clean because I am at the mercy of the elements - my garage is not heated or air conditioned. my table was full of crap that was taken out to the garage, and had to be put away so that I could take the pics. Believe me,when I am cutting it looks like a tornado went across my desk.
  24. Don, That is a good idea, Shipping Tape also acts as lubricant for the blade ( so I am Told )
  25. Bulldog, I listen to everything from Classical To Heavy Metal Dan, This is my work area
