  1. Hi i use a Dremel hard cut off disk to trace around for the size of the sanding discs i made for the sanding mop then i used a thumb tack to poke the center hole in the sand paper discs. I haven't got it all together yet But it does like it will work Ok.I use sand paper with cloth backing on it .
  2. Here in the state park we live in. the state had the state forrest people come in and cut down every Black locust tree we had in park cause they had bugs or worms.i can't remember which .But they cut down awful lot of them.I don't Know. what they did with the wood after they cut the trees down.We have two honey locust trees in our yard. they don't have the long sharp thorns they just have the bean pods on them.
  3. Christina i too think they are a little to pricie for me. I think i will try today to make one and see what it turns out looking like it surely can hurt to try.
  4. Travis did you get the web site that has them for sale i sent to you on Sat. After looking at that site I'm thinking i could make one or more of these. My Question is do i have to put a cardboard type spacer in between the layers of sand paper. And i Shouldn't have to buy the special mandrel would I ? cause i have a few of the ones that have the small screw on the top that you unscrew to put something on the Mandrel. I'm just not sure what the sizes of them are. I want to go study the one that is on Steve Goods site and read up on how that one was made. That would Definitely be alot cheaper then buying on that fits my Dremel tool.
  5. Is there a sanding mop for Dremel tools?

  13. I got into scroll sawing by way of a lady friend who Lives in CA.She scroll sawed and started sending me pictures of items she cut on her scroll saw and then she started sending me patterns And My husband bought me a used Craftsman scroll saw from eBay i still have it and use it to cut pieces of 1/4 plywood down to size i need for projects. it takes a 3 in. pinned saw blade which i order from Sloan's woodshop. Then I bought myself another scroll saw from Amazon.com A Delta SS250 it was fine and worked great for what i needed it to do .Then My Husband won me a RBI Hawk Model #220-3 it turned out to be a 1985 year model it is belt driven. It looked brand new when i got it. I had to upgrade the blade holders cause they used a allen wrench to change the blades. We had to buy a saw stand to mount the Hawk on it cause it didn't come with one.I did some research on the RBI Hawk site and This scroll saw was 25 years old But someone had never used it. it came with everything blades, patterns and owners manual. My husband had won it from pawn shop that listed it on ebay. Then Last year on 3-3-08 I won a Dewalt DW788 scroll saw i have 3 scroll saws now I sold the Delta. My Dewalt isn't yellow in color the man that had it before me had a pro paint the scroll saw mint green to match all the other wood shop tools and machines he had in his wood shop.. The color doesn't make the scroll saw run any different so i have left it the green color.Of all my saws i like the Dewalt the best.So I have been scroll sawing going on 4 years now.And i'm no way a pro at scroll sawing I have learned alot from the scroll saw sites i belong to and From My Friend Myrna in CA who got me hooked on scroll sawing.
  14. I'm cutting out dinosaurs for my 3 year old grandson. I cut him two standup dinosaur puzzle's for Christmas but he He played with them likea awalkingdiansaur noises and all. Then he looked up at me and asked if I could make him some dinosaurs that wouldn't come apart when he played with them? I don't think he like the dinosaur puzzles right now.Maybe he will when he gets alittle older. The stand puzzles are only 3 to 5 pieces. I cut them out of 3/4in oak cabinet plywood and i also painted them. I will post pictures in a album when i get one set up on here.
