  3. Oh that is so sad, had to stop crying before I could type this. It is heartbreaking to lose a friend and knowing that the end is coming makes it no easier. If I where with you right now I would give you a big hug so please except this one (((HUG))) Great pattern Paul and a beautiful cutting Dan. Marg
  4. It only took an hour to cut Kevin. Marg
  5. I have one that my daughter made in her first year at high school and she's 37 this year. Put a photo of my Mum in it the day she brought it home and its still there on the shelf. Sorry I know this doesn't help you though. Marg

  8. I did this for a lady who asked me to do 2 for her daughters about 5 years ago but never got one for herself and always regretted it. When we met up again recently she asked if I still did the portraits and of course I said yes. She was tickled pink when I told her I still had a copy of the pattern. Its a pattern of her dear departed husband. Anyhow the wood is marine ply 3mm thick the blade was a 2/0 reverse. Marg

  10. That looks great Perk. I like the rope idea. I too like doing portraits best of all, from the first one I ever did back in 2000 which was John Wayne to now. Marg
  11. Hi Andy welcome to the Village. I'm Marg from Australia. I originally came from West Bromwich a neighbor of yours. You seem to have a very understanding wife. Scrolling if very addictive, just thought I had better warn you so that you can warn the wife.  Marg
  12. No Roly I have to adjust the tension at least once while I am using it. Seems to me that the more I lift the arm up and down the more the tension knob moves. Pain in the back side. Still the DeWalt FOR ME haa haa naa naa - naa naa naa Marg
  13. I love this pattern and it actually makes them look better.  You did an excellent job Bob. Marg

  15. I love Christmas themed things. Love it. Thanks Roly for the pattern Marg
  16. My blade tension is at the back only Roly, which is a total pain when you are as short as I am. I have a DeWalt and an EX21 and if someone said here is the money you can have a second one of either of these 2 saw I would pick a DeWalt without having to think twice. Marg
  17. Its a pity it will only come out once a year, it seems a pity to hide it away. Looks terrific. Marg
