  1. Cut this plaque for a customer. Cut from 1/4 in. ply. Sealed with tung oil and top coated with shellac. This is a vase from Steve Goods new book. The facings are oak and the center is pine. The vase was sealed with tung oil and top coated with shellac. DW

  23. Cut from 3/4 Pine ( box body ), 1/16 Poplar ( Box top and bottom ) and 1/16 Mahogany ( horse ), Bamboo ( hinge pins ). This is a relatively simple box to make and since the lid is pinned in place there is no danger of someone putting it on wrong or loosing it. The back of the box has a slight 3/16" 45 Degree chamfer to allow the lid to open. The lid has a 1/16 radius relief on the bottom back corner to allow the lid to open without interfering with the opening. This box was sealed with tung oil and then top coated with shellac. DW
